About Me

Helping professionals and caregivers are some of the most compassionate and dedicated people I know, but the work they do often comes at a cost to their own well-being. After spending 20 years on the front lines of social services, I witnessed firsthand the impacts of workplace stress, vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, and full-body burnout. These experiences shaped my deep commitment to supporting those who dedicate their lives to helping others, ensuring they can continue the work they love in a healthier, more sustainable way.

I completed my Master of Education in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa in 2017 and am a member of both the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and the Ontario College of Social Work and Social Service Workers. In my practice, I focus on helping my clients build self-compassion, explore shame, imposter syndrome, and grief, and address secondary trauma. Together, we take a practical look at life balance, using tools and strategies to move toward a values-driven life. Whether you’re a seasoned professional experiencing burnout or a student entering the helping field, I provide a supportive space to reconnect with your purpose and your well-being.

I use a variety of evidence-based approaches tailored to my clients’ needs, including [insert modalities Jennifer frequently uses], and my sessions are available both in person and online to offer flexibility and accessibility. I also facilitate group debriefs and support groups, recognizing the power of shared experiences in fostering resilience and community.

Outside of work, I recharge by spending time in nature and with my kids, and I enjoy volunteering at the ski hill. These moments remind me of the importance of finding joy and balance in life—a perspective I strive to bring into my work with clients.

If you’re ready to prioritize your well-being and take the first step toward a healthier, more balanced life, I’d be honored to support you on your journey.
